2 lengths

The length of the string is 70 cm for Michael (also for Castle) and 80 cm for Chambord (also for Avignon).

Material is cotton, gas string

The material is cotton, and it is a gas string instead of a waxed string.

Both Chambord and Michael have a casual atmosphere, so it seems that they use less glossy gas cords instead of shiny waxed cords.

Compared to waxed cords, gas cords are less glossy and tend to get fuzzy, so they are often used for casual shoes and suede shoes. However, waxed cords are more common for leather shoes.

Abundant color development

"Waxed Shoelace Round String Stone Pattern 2.5mm" comes in 15 colors and a wide variety of colors . You can choose a color that is not available in genuine shoelaces, so it is recommended when you want to change the atmosphere of your shoes.

There are some colors that are almost the same as the genuine shoelaces, NOIR→black, CAFE→dark brown, and MARRON→brown.

Shiny wax cord

Unlike genuine gas cords, it is a waxed cord, so it has a glossy and luxurious feel. Waxed cords are the basic cords used for leather shoes, so there is no discomfort even if you attach them to Chambord or Michael.

Shiny wax cord

Lace width close to genuine shoelaces

The lace width is about 2.5mm, which is almost the same as the genuine shoelaces. The string used for dress shoes is usually 2 to 2.2 mm, so it is slightly thicker than that.

durable metal cell

MONDSHOELACE shoelaces are very durable with metal cells. In the case of plastic cells, it often happens that the tip of the cell is peeled off before you know it, but there is no need to worry about metal cells.

In addition, you can choose your favorite color from four colors: black, gold, silver, and antique.

Free choice of length

Genuine shoelaces are available in two sizes, 70cm for Michael and 80cm for Chambord, but MONDSHOELACE allows you to freely choose up to 200cm.

If the wings are open and the string is short, or if the wings are closed and the string is long, you can choose the length according to your fitting and preference. This is a unique advantage of custom shoelaces.

There are other types such as flat cords!

Genuine shoelaces do not have flat laces. MONDSHOELACE has not only round cords but also flat cords.

Chambord and Michael go well with flat cords, so it would be nice to change the shape of the cord.

Genuine shoelaces are recommended if you don't want to change the look of your shoes and the length is just right.

It goes without saying that genuine shoelaces are good, but you can change the laces without changing the look of the shoes.

Regarding the length of the string, it will look slightly different depending on how the instep spreads, but if there is no problem with the length of the string attached when you bought it, there is no doubt that it is genuine.

MONDSHOELACE if you want to change the color or shape of the string, use a durable metal cell, or if the genuine length does not match

MONDSHOELACE has a wide variety of options such as flat laces as well as round laces and durable waxed shoelaces (waxed shoelaces premium). There are also colors that are not genuine, so it's good when you want to change your mood by changing the color.

All shoelaces are made of metal cells, so it is also recommended for those who don't want plastic cells to come off.

Recommended length of shoelaces for paraboots [Chambord and Michael]

The length of the string originally attached is 80 cm for Chambord and 70 cm for Michael.

If there is no problem with the length that came with it at the time of purchase, replace it with the same length.

The proper length will vary depending on the spread of the feathers and your preferences. For example, if the wings are too high and the wings spread out, +5cm, if the wings are completely closed and the string feels long, you should purchase -5cm.

However, genuine shoelaces are only available in 70cm and 80cm lengths, so we recommend ordering from MONDSHOELACE for other lengths.

How to tie and pass the shoelaces of para-boots [Chambord and Michael]

How to pass the chambord

Chambord shoelaces are originally threaded "parallel".

There is a "single" that looks similar, but the "parallel" has the advantage of being easier to hold, easier to tighten, and easier to untie. You can think that "parallel" is more comfortable and practical.

Also, since it is a casual type shoe with outer feathers, it goes well with overlapping.

Michael's Passage

Michael puts the string through the bottom hole from above and through the top hole from below.

Michael is a 2-eyelet shoe, so it's the same for single, parallel, and overlap, so I can't say the name of the thread.

By the way, if you pass it through the bottom hole from the bottom, the tightening of the string will be weakened, so it is recommended when you want to wear it loosely.

How to tie a knot that is also recommended for para-boots

If the string often unravels when commuting or going out, there is a recommended way to tie it called "Berluti knot".

It looks almost the same as a bowknot, and when untied, just pull the string like a bowknot, but it is much harder to untie.

The Berluti knot is introduced in this article along with a video.
