Both are based on a cotton braid, but...
the "Glossy Waxed Cotton Shoelaces" are coated with paraffin wax, giving them a characteristic lustrous shine and stiff texture.
On the other hand, the "Stay-Tied Waxed Cotton Shoelaces" undergo a special process using what's known as "golf wax"—a unique blend of resin, oil, and wax—which is thoroughly infused deep into the core of the lace.
This results in a supple, tacky texture that causes the laces to grip together when tied, ensuring they stay securely knotted.
While the "Glossy Waxed Cotton Shoelaces" are handsome with their shine and stiffness, they can be prone to coming undone until they're broken in.
